FAQ

Questions about your estimate

How the free estimate works, and what happens if you want to sell or license your data.

The estimate

Is the estimate free?
Yes. There's no cost and no obligation to sell or license anything.
What do you need from me?
Your company name and a work email. A website helps us identify the right company, but it's optional.
Do you need access to our data or systems?
No. The first estimate is based on public information about your company and what businesses like yours typically collect. Nothing is uploaded or connected.
How do you work out the value?
We look at the kinds of data your company likely holds, how much and how fresh it is, how hard it is to get elsewhere, your rights to it, and what buyers pay for similar data.
How will I get my estimate?
By email, at the address you enter. You can also sign in with that email to see your requests.

Selling or licensing data

Who buys company data?
Data brokers, market research firms, AI developers looking for training data, and companies that want insight into their market.
Do I have to sell my data?
No. Many companies just want to know what their data is worth. If you decide to sell or license it, we can introduce you to buyers.
Can we share customer data legally?
It depends on what your customers agreed to, the laws where you and they operate, and whether the data can be anonymized or aggregated. Talk to your legal counsel before selling or licensing anything.
